Mental Health Support

Our team aims to provide LGBTQ inclusive and affirming counseling with a focus on trauma, anxiety, and depression stemming from homo-bi-trans-phobia. Our counselors integrate various approaches such as psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, strength-based, person-centered, humanistic, and mindfulness. Together, we aim for your holistic healing from historical and ongoing trauma.

Our Services

  • We provide individual, relationship, group, and family therapy for people ages 12 and up. All mental health services are provided on a short-term, weekly basis. We offer both in-person and remote/telehealth sessions. Our team of therapists are graduate level trainees under the supervision of licensed practitioners.
  • Initial Intakes are offered at no cost.
  • Please note that we do not offer psychiatric services but are happy to provide community referrals to assist you with this need.
  • We are not a certified site for court-mandated services but will support you with identifying the resources you need.
  • If you have questions regarding our services, please Dial The Center at 562-434-4455 ext. 228 or click the button below to get started.

Get Started

Wounds from the past may present as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and/or relational difficulties. Pain can also be hidden behind coping habits or risky behaviors that may exacerbate that pain, instead of treating it. Many in our community struggle with this in isolation. If you are ready to take a step toward healing, our mental health program is ready to support you.

Get In Touch
Call our Intake Line (562-434-4455 x228) and leave a voicemail with your name, contact number, a brief message, and let us know if it is safe for us to leave a voicemail. For community members seeking relationship counseling, please note that all parties must each reach out to conduct a respective intake.
Schedule a Phone Screening
We will return your call as soon as possible to schedule a free phone intake. Please be advised our team will be returning your call from a blocked number.
Identify Counseling Needs
During your phone screening, an intake counselor will confer with you about your counseling needs. Our goal is to link all callers to mental health counseling, whether it be at The Center or with one of our community partners. Intakes take place over the phone, and we ask community members to be in a safe and private space with no one else around for the duration of the screening. Completing a phone intake does not guarantee that our team will be able to render services.
Schedule Sessions or Receive Referrals
We strive to match you with the services and/or counselor who best matches your needs. If it is determined that we are able to support your therapy goals, our team will schedule you with a counselor at a weekly time that works for you. We may also provide referrals if another resource would better be able to meet your specific needs, geographic location, insurance, or financial circumstance.

Fees for Service

Services are offered on a sliding scale, at a cost. We do not accept insurance or provide superbills. A cost estimate is provided during intake.

Hours of Service

Weekly counseling sessions are scheduled Monday through Friday 11:00am to 7:00pm, and Saturdays from 11:00am to 3:00pm, depending on availability. Appointments last for 50 minutes for individual sessions, and 80 minutes for family or relationship counseling. Sessions are scheduled on a weekly basis.
